 Three key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Nigeria, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). They are:

1. Hon. Abraham Awanna, Councilor for Ekpan Ward 9, Uvwie Local Government Council.

2. Hon. Increase Osusu, PDP Leader for Ekpan Ward 9.

3. Hon. Kingsley Iyoha, PDP Leader for Ubeji Ward, Warri South.

The defection follows Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's recent switch from PDP to APC. The trio cited Oborevwori's leadership and the APC's good governance under President Bola Tinubu as reasons for their decision. They expressed optimism about Delta State's future under the APC and Oborevwori's leadership.

The defection is seen as a significant boost to the APC in Delta State, with Chief Eugene Sam Sedi, a strong supporter of President Tinubu, in attendance. This development may further strengthen the APC's position in the state ahead of future elections.
