Alleged Assassination Attempt Rocks Edo: Obi, Odigie-Oyegun, ADC Leaders Attacked By Dr Odimientimi Agbedeyi for GlobalEgberiTV Ofunama  Nigeria’s political space was thrown into tension on Tuesday following reports of an alleged armed attack on former presidential candidate Peter Obi , former APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun , and several chieftains of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benin City , Edo State . According to a statement issued in Abuja by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide , the incident occurred shortly after the formal declaration of Olumide Akpata into the African Democratic Congress. How the Incident Allegedly Happened The statement revealed that shortly after the declaration event at the ADC Secretariat, armed individuals allegedly trailed the political leaders to the residence of Chief Odigie-Oyegun.
