Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made at a press conference in Asaba, attended by PDP leaders and stakeholders. According to the State Commissioner for Works, the decision to defect was unanimous and aims to boost the state's development. Senator James Manager stated that the defection followed extensive consultations and was due to the current state of politics in the PDP. A major announcement regarding the PDP's transition to APC is expected by Monday.
