The Curious Case of Senator Natasha and the Vanishing Petitions"

Prince Agbedeyi O.D report for Egbema Egberi Media International from Asaba

Once upon a time in the Federal Republic of Logic-Optionalia (also known by its colonial name: Nigeria), there lived a senator — bold, brilliant, and unbothered — named Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Now Natasha, like any responsible adult tired of online nonsense and political wahala, decided to file a couple of petitions.

Just a few.

Twelve, to be precise.

(One for each disciple. Or perhaps, one for each month she waited for a reply that never came.)

📬 A Petition a Day Keeps the Police Away

Between March 11 and May 19, 2025, Natasha must have set a national record for petition-filing. She covered everything — from cyberstalking to assassination plots, to the case of her disappearing police detail (who we suspect may have gone on sabbatical).

Each petition came with the hope that Nigeria’s mighty institutions would rise to the occasion, rub their eyes, and say,

“Ah! Senator, we’re on it!”

But alas, the petitions were greeted with the familiar sound of bureaucratic crickets.

🎭 Meanwhile, in the Theatre of the Absurd...

While Natasha waited for a response, something magical happened. Suddenly, a counter petition flew in — filed by none other than Senator Akpabio and Former Governor Yahaya Bello, both of whom happened to star in her original complaints.

And poof! Like a Nollywood plot twist, the federal authorities sprang into action so fast, you’d think JAMB results just came out.

“Bring Natasha in!” they cried.

“Charge her!” they roared.

“Justice is swift – when it’s convenient!” they whispered.

Thus, a criminal charge emerged from thin air, faster than NEPA could blink.

🎩 The Queens Law Chronicles

Enter the legal dream team: Queens Law Cradle.

Wearing wigs, armed with PDFs, and powered by gallons of black tea, they put out a statement so lawyerly, it could double as a human rights thesis.

They listed every petition. Every date. Every ignored plea. One even suspects they attached footnotes, receipts, and maybe even WhatsApp screenshots for extra seasoning.

And they had only one humble request:

“Can we, at the very least, acknowledge the woman's existence before charging her for breathing?”

✈️ Where in the World is Senator Natasha?

Now, Senator Natasha is currently out of the country — not because she’s running (please, she's not Nigerian police), but because life is still life-ing and she has “personal engagements.”

Her lawyers assured us she’s still committed to due process and will show up once the court sets a date that isn’t “TBD until further notice.”

🧘🏽‍♀️ Meanwhile, Back in the Republic of Irony

In a country where:

The only thing faster than insecurity is a political counter-petition,

Twelve ignored petitions are worth less than one strategic accusation,

And “due process” is a phrase often filed under ‘coming soon’…

...the public is understandably confused. Some citizens are demanding justice. Others are asking if Natasha used the correct email address. A few suspect the petitions were eaten by a goat in the ministry.

But through it all, the senator remains calm, collected, and hopeful that justice — although on an extended sabbatical — will someday return from leave.

Until then, we remain curious citizens in the Republic of Logic-Optionalia.
