From Humble Beginnings to Entrepreneurial Success



Born in the riverine community of Ogbinbiri  in Egbema Kingdom, Delta State, Chief Lawuru's early life was marked by resilience and determination. Engaging in petty trades like dry gin production and fishing during his secondary education, he showcased an entrepreneurial spirit that would define his future endeavors. Today, he is the Managing Director of Govlawros Nigeria Ltd., a hospitality franchise employing over 150 individuals. Political Engagement and Youth Mobilization


Chief Lawuru's political journey is rooted in grassroots activism. He initially served as an interim coordinator of projects in his community and was appointed as a member of the Delta State Inland Waterways Security Committee during Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's first tenure. His commitment to youth involvement in governance led to his role as the National President of the Southern Youth Movement (SYM), where he advocates for increased youth participation in politics and governance.
