AUCHI, EDO STATE (July 6, 2025) – The scandalous video that went viral last week, allegedly involving an Auchi Polytechnic lecturer in a compromising act, has now taken a shocking and disturbing turn. Fresh evidence and testimonies indicate that the lecturer, identified as Mr. Ehighie, was not caught in an affair—but was the victim of a violent setup, abduction, and blackmail scheme orchestrated by cultists and fraudsters.

📹 New Video Exposes the Truth

A second video has emerged showing the lecturer being dragged, stripped naked, beaten, and forced to masturbate at gunpoint. Multiple gunshots can be heard in the background according to a reporter. Observers have confirmed that this was not a voluntary act, but a forced performance under extreme duress.

🚫 The Woman in Question Is Not a Student

Contrary to earlier social media reports, the woman seen in the first video is not a student of Auchi Polytechnic. She is reportedly the wife of Mr. Aliyu Suleiman Lucky, a neighbor of the lecturer in Ibienafe, Etsako Central LGA. Her last child is two years old, and she was not even in town at the time of the incident.

🧨 A Premeditated Setup

According to multiple sources, Mr. Lucky, also known as "As E Dey Hot", lured the lecturer to his compound under the guise of needing help fixing a faulty water line. Trusting his neighbor, Mr. Ehighie left his office and was ambushed by a group of cultists and “Yahoo boys” armed with guns.

The attackers beat him severely, stripped him, and filmed him in humiliating acts—all while threatening to kill him. It has now emerged that the motive may be linked to a recent intervention by the lecturer to prevent a student from being initiated into a cult group.

💰 Ransom Demand and Fleeing Suspects

After the incident, the attackers reportedly demanded ₦3 million from Mr. Ehighie’s wife, threatening to publish the videos online if payment was not made. Once the case was reported to the police, the suspects fled town. Law enforcement agents are said to be tracking them down as investigations intensify.

🏥 Lecturer in Critical Condition

Mr. Ehighie is reportedly in critical condition due to the brutal assault. His colleagues and friends describe him as a quiet, upright man who is now being punished for standing up for what is right.

🗣️ Call for Responsible Journalism and Justice

This revelation is a sobering reminder of the dangers of misinformation and social media judgment. The earlier narrative not only damaged a man’s reputation but also overshadowed the real crime — cult violence, extortion, and attempted murder.

“We must learn to investigate before publishing. Today it is him; tomorrow it could be you. Justice must prevail.”
